Abstract
a presente invenção refere-se a um peptídeo isca que é um peptídeo parcial de folhas assimétricas1 (as1) e tem a capacidade de interagir com ßc1, que é codificado por um satélite beta de um vírus que pertence à família de geminivírus; um ácido nucleico que codifica o peptídeo isca; um vetor de expressão que inclui o ácido nucleico, um agente de prevenção de doenças causadas por geminivírus que inclui o peptídeo isca ou o ácido nucleico; um método de prevenção de doenças causadas por geminivírus que utiliza o agente de prevenção de doenças causadas por geminivírus; uma planta transgênica em que o ácido nucleico foi introduzido; e um método em que o ácido nucleico é usado para reduzir os sintomas de uma doença causada por um vírus que contém ßc1 que pertence à família de geminivírus. também é descrito um método para avaliar o grau de redução do sintoma em uma doença causada por um vírus que contém ßc1 e pertence à família de geminivírus.
