Abstract

trata-se de sistema de monitoramento de escovação de dentes que inclui um dispositivo de higiene oral com um sensor óptico separado para rastrear alterações de posição do dispositivo de higiene oral. o sensor óptico pode, por si só ou em combinação com dados do sensor de movimento, determinar a posição e orientação de um dispositivo de higiene oral em relação à boca de um usuário. o sistema pode, então, determinar a qualidade, quantidade e localização da escovação e fornecer resposta quanto à qualidade da escovação. esta resposta fornece motivação aos usuários para aumentar seus hábitos de escovação, levando a uma diminuição das placas, deterioração dos dentes e gengivite.
