Abstract

a invenção se refere a um aparelho para processamento de sinais de áudio que compreende um receptor (403) para receber um sinal de áudio com sua frequência de amostragem aumentada para uma primeira frequência de amostragem, sendo que o sinal de áudio tem uma frequência máxima menor que a metade da primeira frequência de amostragem por uma primeira margem de frequência. um banco de filtros (405) gera sinais de sub-banda para o sinal de áudio digital com o uso de subfiltros sobrepostos. um primeiro deslocador de frequência (407) aplica um deslocamento de frequência a pelo menos uma sub-banda do conjunto de sub-bandas e um dizimador (409) dizima os sinais de sub-banda por um fator de dizimação, resultando em uma frequência de amostragem dizimada que é pelo menos duas vezes maior que a largura de banda de cada um dos subfiltros sobrepostos. o deslocamento de frequência para uma sub-banda é disposto de modo a deslocar a sub-banda para um intervalo de frequência é um múltiplo de um intervalo de frequência que varia de zero à metade da frequência de amostragem dizimada. a sub-banda pode ser processada individualmente e as sub-bandas processadas podem ser subsequentemente combinadas para gerar um sinal de saída de banda completa.
