a presente invenção refere-se à transmissão para um veículo a motor, compreendendo: - um eixo de entrada (10), um eixo de saída (30), - rodas fixas (11 a 16), rodas soltas (31 a 36) bem como embreagens de troca de marcha (37, 40, 41) para união à prova de rotação das rodas soltas (31 a 36) com o eixo de entrada (10) ou o eixo de saída (30), - várias marchas (i a vi), estando associadas a cada marcha uma das rodas soltas (31 a 36) e uma das embreagens de mudança de marcha (37, 40, 41), estando a roda solta unida pela embreagem de mudança de marcha à prova de rotação com o eixo portando a roda solta, quando está engatada a correspondente marcha, - uma roda anular (2), que engata com um primeiro pinhão (39), que fica disposto no eixo de saída (30), - um eixo adicional (50), sobre o qual estão dispostos um segundo pinhão (52), que engata com a roda anular (2), bem como uma roda dentada adicional (51) e uma embreagem de mudança de marcha adicional (53), estando o eixo adicional (50) e a embreagem de mudança de marcha adicional (53) associados a uma marcha adicional. a transmissão se caracteriza pelo fato de que o segundo pinhão (52) com marcha adicional não engatada está disposto rotativo sobre o eixo adicional (50) e, com marcha adicional engatada, com o segundo pinhão (52).
