trata-se de um dispositivo para aquecer indutivamente mangas de embalagem (10) que compreende: pelo menos uma unidade (21) para produzir uma corrente alternada, pelo menos um indutor (20, 20a, 20b) que tem pelo menos uma seção eficaz (24a, 24a?, 24b, 24b?), e uma unidade de retenção (19) que tem uma área de retenção frontal (19a) e uma área de retenção traseira (19b) para montar o indutor (20, 20a, 20b), em que o indutor (20, 20a, 20b) está conectado à unidade (21) para produzir uma corrente alternada, e em que as áreas de retenção (19a, 19b) estão dispostas de maneira que um vão (s) seja formado entre a área de retenção frontal (19a) e a área de retenção traseira (19b), sendo que a direção longitudinal (xs) desse vão (s) corresponde à direção de transmissão (t) das mangas de embalagem (10). a fim de obter, também com um projeto estrutural simples, uma superposição aprimorada dos campos eletromagnéticos e, por conseguinte, um aquecimento indutivo mais eficiente, propõe-se que as seções eficazes (24a, 24a?, 24b, 24b?) do pelo menos um indutor (20, 20a, 20b) estejam pelo menos nas seções dispostas assimetricamente entre si em relação a um plano central (31) que se encontra no vão (s). além disso, é descrito e ilustrado um método para aquecer indutivamente mangas de embalagem (10).
