Abstract

CALDEIRA DE COMBUSTÍVEL SÓLIDO, E, MÉTODOS PARA SECAGEM E PARA PRÉ-SECAGEM DE COMBUSTÍVEL. Uma caldeira de combustível sólido com uma ou mais calhas de transporte de combustível configuradas para pré-secagem do combustível sólido úmido antes do carregamento para uma câmara de combustão da caldeira, permitindo maior eficiência térmica e menos queima de combustível para produzir a mesma quantidade de vapor. As calhas de transporte de combustível pré-secagem passam através da caldeira, onde os gases de combustão quentes, de forma radiante e convectiva, aquecem as paredes da calha de transporte para secar o combustível sólido úmido por aquecimento radiante, convectivo e/ou condutor. Mecanismos agitadores ou estruturas no interior da calha de transporte de mistura do combustível para aquecimento uniforme rompem os aglomerados de combustível úmido, regulam a velocidade do escoamento do combustível, evitam aderência, secam o combustível por meio do vapor e/ou do ar quente, transportam e dispensam um meio de resfriamento enquanto uma calha de transporte está off-line em uma caldeira em operação e eliminam fogo usando injeção de vapor. O combustível da calha de transporte pode fluir para um compartimento de armazenamento de combustível ou diretamente para a zona de combustão do forno.
