resumo patente de invenção: "aparelho e métodos para computar débito cardíaco de um indivíduo vivo por meio de tonometria de aplanação". trata-se de aparelho e métodos para calcular débito cardíaco (co) de um indivíduo vivo com o uso de medições de tonometria de aplanação. em uma modalidade, o aparelho e os métodos montam um modelo matemático não linear para correlacionar vetores de dados de fonte fisiológica a valores-alvo de co. os vetores de dados de fonte incluem um ou mais parâmetros mensuráveis ou deriváveis como: pressão sistólica e diastólica, pressão de pulso, intervalo de batimento a batimento, pressão arterial média, inclinação máxima de elevação de pressão durante sístole, a área sob parte sistólica da onda de pressão de pulso, gênero (masculino ou feminino), idade, altura e peso. os valores-alvo de co são adquiridos com o uso de vários métodos, através de uma pluralidade de indivíduos. a otimização não linear multidimensional é, então, usada para encontrar um modelo matemático que transforma os dados de fonte nos dados-alvo de co. o modelo é, então, aplicado a um indivíduo adquirindo-se dados fisiológicos para o indivíduo e aplicando-se o modelo aos dados coletados.
