resumo patente de invenção: "dispositivo de redução da pressão com fluxo ciclônico para processo de separação de emulsão". a presente invenção refere-se a um sistema e a um método para aprimorar a separação de óleo e água em um fluxo de fluido misturado. o sistema inclui um dispositivo de redução de pressão (30) que causa fluxo ciclônico no fluxo. o dispositivo de redução de pressão (30) pode ser um hidrociclone à base de pastilha ou um hidrociclone modificado tendo uma saída de subtransbordamento, mas nenhuma saída de extravasamento. o sistema também pode incluir uma válvula que está localizada a montante ou a jusante do dispositivo de redução de pressão (30). tanto a válvula quanto o dispositivo de redução de pressão (30) reduzem a pressão do fluxo de fluido enquanto reduzindo o cisalhamento das gotículas de óleo e de água dentro do fluxo. em consequência, as gotículas têm maior probabilidade de coalescer e menor probabilidade de formar emulsões, deste modo melhorando a separação de óleo e água em processos de tratamento a jusante.
