Abstract
APARELHO E MÉTODO PARA SEPARAR UM TEOR DE HIDROCARBONETO DE UMA MATRIZ DE MATERIAL Um aparelho para separar um teor de hidrocarboneto de uma matriz de material que compreende o teor de hidrocarboneto e um teor de água, o aparelho compreendendo: um alimentador de material arranjado para alimentar material através de uma câmara de tratamento, a câmara de tratamento compreendendo uma janela que é substancialmente transparente a micro-ondas; um emissor de micro-onda arranjado em uso para expor material de alimentação na câmara de tratamento a micro-ondas via a janela a fim de provocar aquecimento rápido de pelo menos parte do teor de água da matriz para formar vapor d'água, de modo a remover pelo menos parte do teor de hidrocarboneto da matriz; em que o alimentador de material e câmara de tratamento são arranjados de modo que em uso, a câmara de tratamento é substancialmente cheia com matriz de material.
