resumo patente de invenção: "processo de codificação e decodificação de imagens, dispositivo de codificação e decodificação e programas de computador correspondentes". a presente invenção refere-se a um processo para codificar pelo menos uma imagem particionada, executando etapas de: - prever (c2) dados de uma partição corrente em função de pelo menos uma partição de referência já codificada e depois decodificada, gerando uma partição prevista; - determinar (c6 um conjunto de dados residuais comparando dados relativos à partição corrente e à partição prevista, esses dados residuais sendo associados respectivamente a diferentes informações digitais destinadas a experimentar a uma codificação entrópica. previamente à etapa de elaborar um sinal contendo as informações codificadas, as etapas seguintes são realizadas: - determinar (c71), partindo do conjunto de dados residuais predeterminado, um subconjunto contendo dados residuais próprios para serem modificados, - calcular (c8) o valor de uma função representativa dos dados residuais do subconjunto predeterminado, - comparar (c9) o valor calculado com um valor de pelo menos uma das informações digitais, - em função do resultado da comparação, modificar (c10) ou não pelo menos um dos dados residuais do subconjunto, - e, em caso de modificação, codificação entrópica (c20) do pelo menos um dado residual modificado.
