método para intensificar a recuperação de óleo de um reservatório de óleo, micro-organismo isolado, composição de intensificação de recuperação de óleo e método. trata-se de métodos, micro-organismos e composições em que reservatórios de óleo são inoculados com micro-organismos que pertencem a pseudomonas stutzeri e meio que inclui um receptor de elétron. a pseudomonas stutzeri se prolifera no reservatório de óleo para formar biofilmes de obstrução que reduzem a permeabilidade em áreas de formações subterrâneas, aumentando, dessa forma, a eficiência de purga e, intensificando, dessa forma, a recuperação de óleo.
