Abstract

método e aparelho para produzir uma corrente de gás natural substituto. um método e aparelho para produzir uam corrente de gás natural substituto a ser acrescentada a uma corrente de gás natural em que pelo menos uma parte de uma corrente de gás de refinaria é reagida em um reator catalítico para hidrogenar olefinas para formar hidrocarbonetos saturados. a extensão na qual hidrogênio e olefinas são reagidos no reator catalítico é controlada para reduzir a concentração de olefinas na corrente de gás natural substituto resultante com o gás natural. este controle pode ser efetuado por derivar parte do gás residual de refinaria para uma corrente de produto intermediária produzida pelo reator catalítico e formando assim a corrente de gás natural substituto a partir da corrente de gás de refinaria derivado e da corrente de produto intermediária.
