Abstract

processo de combustão in situ melhorado para reduzir a viscosidade de óleo contido em um reservatório é provido um processo de combustão in situ, cujo processo não usa um ou mais poços de exaustão de gás separados. é provido pelo menos um poço de produção vertical com uma porção substancialmente vertical se estendendo para baixo ao interior do reservatório e uma porção de perna horizontal se estendendo horizontalmente para fora dele completada relativamente baixa no reservatório. pelo menos um poço de injeção de gás oxidante vertical, posicionado acima e em relacionamento espaçado com o poço horizontal, é posicionado lateralmente ao longo do poço horizontal aproximadamente na sua seção intermediária. gás oxidante é injetado nele e frentes de combustão são forçadas a progredir para fora de tal poço de injeção em direções mutuamente opostas ao longo do poço horizontal. preferivelmente, uma pluralidade de poços de injeção é provida ao longo da direção do poço horizontal, e gás oxidante é injetado em cada qual, e frentes de combustão são forçadas a progredir para fora e em direções opostas uma da outra, e óleo é forçado a drenar para baixo no poço horizontal, cujo óleo junto com gases de combustão quentes é produzido na superfície.
