Abstract
processos para maqximizar a formação de etanol na hidrogenação de ácido acético. a presente invenção refere-se a um processo para purificação de um produto de etanol bruto para reduzir a formação de subproduto e maximizar a produção de etanol. o processo compreende a etapa de hidrogenação de ácido acético em um reator na presença de um catalisador para formar o produto de etanol bruto. o processo também compreende a etapa de separação de pelo menos uma prção do produto de etanol bruto em uma zona de purificação. a zona de purificação preferivelmente compreende a primeira coluna, que produz um primeiro destilado compreendendo etanol, água e acetato de etila, e um primeiro resíduo compreendendo ácido acético. a porção do produto de etanol bruto tem um tempo de resisdência do reator para a zona de purificação de 5 minutos a 5 dias.
