Abstract
lente intraocular tendo um eixo óptico, combinação de uma lente intraocular, e, método para o tratamento de uma condição macular. um alente intraocular é descrita, que compreende, como uma face da mesma, um arranjo de prisma de fresnel linear com facetas anguladas em relação ao eixo óptico da lente de forma a desviar luz incidente sobre as mesmas para uma posição fora do eixo. as facetas são modificadas de modo a reduzir pelo menos um de efeitos difração e astigmatismo associados com o prisma de fresnel. em particualr, por meio da variação do passo dos elementos de prisma através do arranjo, que pode compreender variação de seu tamanho, um efeito de rede de difração pode ser reduzido ou negado, tal que luz não é difratada em ordens indesejáveis e imagens múltiplos podem ser evitadas. além disso, dispersão angular cromática associada com o efeito de rede de difração pode ser reduzida. a variação de passo pode ser aleatória. pela alteração do ângulo das facetas através do arranjo, astigmatismo que resultaria de outra maneira da presença do prisma de fresnel pode também ser compensado.
