Abstract

"MéTODO PARA PRODUZIR ARTIGOS METáLICOS DE SUPERFìCIE ADENSADA". A presente invenção refere-se a um método para produzir artigos de metal em pó que inclui compactar e sinterizar o metal em pó para produzir um preformado de metal em pó formado que tenha pelo menos uma superfície exposta para ser adensada na superfície que estende-se paralela a um eixo geométrico do preformado entre uma extremidade livre e uma extremidade cega adjacente a uma porção transversal do preformado. A superfície cega é trabalhada a frio forçando uma ferramenta de adensamento formada axialmente ao longo da superfície em uma direção da extremidade livre no sentido da extremidade cega, e então invertendo a direção da ferramenta no sentido da extremidade livre para adensar uma camada do material na superfície exposta. Além da superfície cega, o artigo pode incluir uma ou mais superfícies adicionais que podem ser adensadas no mesmo modo em uma operação simultânea.
