Abstract

"LIGANTE PARA SUBSTRATOS DE ALTA RESISTêNCIA A UMIDADE". A presente invenção refere-se a um substrato fibroso fabricado de fibras ligadas quimicamente, onde as fibras são ligadas com um ligante polimérico, em uma quantidade que é suficiente para ligar juntamente as fibras, de modo a formar uma trama de auto-sustentação e onde o ligante é caracterizado por ter resistência à tensão em umidade superior a 1.771 g/cm (4500 g/polegada) quando medida em uma adição de 20% em Papel para Cromatografia Whatman n<0> 4 CHR que é seco em tambor por 90 segundos a 98,8 a 101,6<198>C (210 a 215<198>F) e curado por dois minutos a 148,8 a 162,7<198>C (300 a 325<198>F). Preferivelmente, o nível de aldeído fórmico livre no substrato fibroso é inferior a 15 ppm. Os ligantes em emulsão da invenção podem ser usados para ligar juntamente as fibras em um substrato; podem ser usados para ligar pigmento, corantes ou outras substâncias a um substrato; podem ser usados como um material de forro; ou podem ser usados para acabamento ou para tratar a superfície de um substrato.
