Abstract

"EMPLASTRO DE JUNTA DOTADO DE UMA ABERTURA ESPECIFICAMENTE POSICIONADA". A presente invenção refere-se a emplastros de junta que proporcionam vantagens em relação aos emplastros conhecidos, particularmente em termos de eficácia ótica, conformação do emplastro à junta elou resiliência do emplastro à deformação durante o uso. Os emplastros de junta são, com a máxima preferência, emplastros de joelho ou cotovelo. Em particular, os presentes emplastros de junta incluem aqueles que contêm: (a) uma parte principal em que a parte principal cria um eixo longitudinal, em que a parte principal contém uma abertura que tem um comprimento máximo e uma largura máxima, em que o comprimento máximo é substancialmente transversal ao eixo longitudinal; e (b) uma superfície voltada para o corpo do usuário e uma superfície externa, em que tanto a superfície voltada para o corpo do usuário como a superfície externa estendem-se ao longo do comprimento do eixo longitudinal. A presente invenção refere-se, também, a métodos para tratamento de dor selecionada de dor muscular aguda, dor esqueletal aguda, dor aguda referida, dor muscular recorrente, dor esqueletal recorrente, dor referida recorrente, dor muscular crónica, dor esqueletal crónica, dor referida crónica e combinações das mesmas, os quais compreendem a aplicação do emplastro de junta anteriormente mencionado à junta de um mamífero que precise de tal tratamento.
