Abstract

"BAINHA PARA RECEBER E PROTEGER ARTIGOS ALONGADOS, ARTICULAçãO FLEXìVEL POSICIONáVEL ENTRE DOIS SUBSTRATOS E APARELHO E MéTODO PARA FORMAR A ARTICULAçãO". Uma bainha delgada (10) para proteger artigos alongados (24) e apresentada tendo um par de substratos (12, 14) formado de material em folha termorígido flexível com bordas opostas conjuntamente emparelhadas para posicionar os substratos em alinhamento superposto. Um par de bordas é flexivelmente interligado por uma articulação (22) permitindo que os substratos pivotem entre uma posição aberta e uma posição fechada para receber e encerrar os artigos. Os substratos são corrugados. A articulação é formada de uma pluralidade de regiões em folha de espessura reduzida que alternam entre serem orientadas no plano da folha e no sentido perpendicular ao mesmo. A orientação alternada reduz o desequilíbrio de rigidez ao cisalhamento entre as bordas ligadas pela articulação e as bordas livres do substrato. Um aparelho para a formação da bainha, munido de engrenagens entrosáveis com dentes chanfrados e superfícies de borda confrontante é também apresentado. (FIGURA 1)
