A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para a verificação da segurança de funcionamento de peças de desgaste e funcionais, variáveis em sua posição, de um freio a disco ativável especialmente pneumaticamente ou eletromecanicamente, especialmente para um veículo utilitário, que é configurado de tal maneira que sinais que podem ser refletidos por um emissor são enviados à parte funcional a ser verificada, os sinais refletidos são recebidos por em receptor e os valores reais são comparados com os valores teóricos e avaliados.
