Abstract

"DISTRIBUIDOR DE FLUXO COM TELAS PARA OTIMIZAR O ESCOAMENTO DE GASES EM CATALISADORES E USO". A presente invenção refere-se a um distribuidor de fluxo por tela(s) para aplicação em catalisadores utilizados em motores a combustão interna, automotivos ou não. Este distribuidor consiste em otimizar a distribuição do escoamento dos gases de descarga provenientes do motor ao atravessarem o catalisador. A(s) tela(s) devidamente determinada(s) e cuidadosamente posicionada(s) na entrada do catalisador, reduz o gradiente de pressão, evitando o fluxo reverso ou separação da camada limite, responsável pela não uniformização do escoamento pelo catalisador. Este distribuidor de fluxo por telas apresenta um baixo custo de produção, baixa contra-pressão e pouca absorção de calor, além de ótimos resultados na melhoria do coeficiente de uniformidade quando aplicado a um catalisador e comparado aos demais dispositivos existentes.
