Abstract
"SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA COMUNICAçãO COM UM EQUIPAMENTO ATRAVéS DE UM DIODO DE EMISSãO DE LUZ". Um equipamento inclui um controlador para controlar a operação de um equipamento, uma luz indicadora acoplada com o controlador para proporcionar uma indicação visível da seleção de um operador em resposta ao controlador energizando a luz indicadora e um acionador acoplado com o controlador e com a luz indicadora de modo que o controlador pode comunicar dados através da luz indicadora por controlar o acionador. A luz indicadora pode ser um diodo de emissão de luz ou um segmento de uma exibição alfanumérica de um painel de controle do equipamento. Um LED detector também pode ser acoplado com o controlador de modo que o controlador pode receber dados a partir de um dispositivo externo que comunica-se por cintilar luz no LED detector. Um terminal para comunicação com o equipamento pode incluir um LED detector e um condutor que acopla o LED detector com uma ferramenta de diagnóstico. O LED detector pode receber dados a partir de um transmissor ótico do painel de controle do equipamento.
