Abstract

"PROVISãO DE MULTIMìDIA SOB DEMANDA EM UM AMBIENTE PRóXIMO DO SOB DEMANDA". Trata-se de um método (400) para proporcionar apresentações de multimidia sob demanda em um ambiente próximo de sob demanda é proporcionado. O método compreende prover segmentos de início (402) para pré gravação pelos assinantes. Cada segmento de início (310) corresponde a algumas de uma pluralidade de apresentações de multimídia e cada segmento de início tem uma duração (L) pelo menos tão longa quanto um intervalo de tempo predeterminado (Ti-To) . Cada uma da pluralidade das apresentações de multimídia é transmitida simultaneamente em uma pluralidade de canais com apresentações idênticas transmitidas em canais diferentes com tempos de começo de cada transmissão tendo um intervalo periódico que não excede o intervalo de tempo predeterminado (Ti-To).
