Abstract

"UM MODO DE CONTROLE DE GUARDA APERFEIçOADO". Na presente invenção são apresentados métodos e equipamentos para implementar um modo de guarda de controle aperfeiçoado que reduz a carga do link reverso e reduz o consumo de bateria de estações remotas. Enquanto uma estação remota estiver no modo de guarda de controle aperfeiçoado, os circuitos que monitoram os canais de dados em pacotes diretos, bem como os canais de controle associados, são desligados. Uma vez que os canais de dados em pacotes diretos e seus canais de controle associados não são monitorados, as operações dos canais reversos poderão ser desconectadas para ciclos ocupados predeterminados, ou ajustados em modos de transmissão intermitentes, ou desligados completamente. As transições a partir do modo de guarda de controle para o modo ativo podem ser iniciadas pela estação remota ou por uma estação base. Quando uma transição é iniciada por uma estação remota, a estação remota transmite uma mensagem de sinalização para uma estação base servidora (400) e a seguir inicia a operação dos canais de feedback antes de receber efetivamente os sinais de link direto (410).
