Abstract
【解決手段】遠隔局が改善された制御−保持モードにある一方、順方向パケットデータチャンネルと、関連する制御チャンネルとを監視する回路が、止められる。順方向パケットデータチャンネルとそれに関連する制御チャンネルとは監視されないので、逆方向チャンネルの操作は、予め定めたデューティーサイクルにゲートオフされるか、間欠的な送信モードに設定されるか、完全に停止される。制御−保持モードからアクティブモードへの移行は、遠隔局又は基地局によって開始することができる。遠隔局によって移行が開始された場合には、遠隔局が、動作している基地局に信号メッセージを送信し(400)、その後、順方向リンク信号を受信する前にフィードバックチャンネルの操作を開始する(410)。

Claims (5)
- 関連する制御チャンネル、及び関連するフィードバックチャンネルを伴ったパケットデータチャンネルを適用する通信システム内で動作する遠隔局内で、改善された制御−保持モードを実行するための装置であって、
メモリ要素と、
前記メモリ要素に格納された1セットの命令を実行するように構成された処理要素と
を備え、前記命令は、
基地局からのパケットデータチャンネルの監視を停止することと、
前記基地局からのパケットデータチャンネルに関連する制御チャンネルの監視を停止することと、
逆方向リンク承認チャンネルを消すことと、
前記遠隔局から前記基地局への送信をゲートオフすることと、
データ制御チャンネルを介して断続的に送信することと
を備えた装置。 - 遠隔局が、改善された制御−保持モードにある場合に、アクティブセットを更新する方法であって、
パイロット強度測定を基地局に送信することと、
前記基地局からの信号メッセージを受信することと、
前記信号メッセージによってトリガされることによって、前記改善された制御−保持モードからアクティブモードに移行することと、
前記基地局から、更新情報とともに承認メッセージを受信することと、
前記基地局からの前記更新情報を用いて前記アクティブセットを更新することと、
前記アクティブモードから前記制御−保持モードへと移行することと
を備えた方法。 - 制御−保持モードにある遠隔局が、基地局内のセクタを切り換えるための方法であって、
チャンネル品質表示チャンネルが現在ゲートオフされているかを判定することと、
前記チャンネル品質表示チャンネルが完全にゲートオフされていない場合には、
このチャンネル品質表示チャンネル上のメッセージを別のセクタに送信することと、
前記チャンネル品質表示チャンネルが完全にゲートオフされている場合には、
データ制御チャンネル上の信号メッセージを前記基地局に送信することと、
共通割当チャンネル上の順方向リンク承認メッセージを受信することと、
別のセクタに切り換えることと、
前記データ制御チャンネル上の逆方向リンク承認メッセージを送信することと
を備えた方法。 - 改善された制御−保持モードからアクティブモードへの、遠隔局によって開始される移行を行うための方法であって、
前記改善された制御−保持モードにある場合には、信号メッセージを逆方向データ制御チャンネルを介して基地局に送信することと、
チャンネル品質表示チャンネルを介した前記基地局への連続的な送信を開始することと、
順方向パケットデータチャンネルとそれに関連する制御チャンネルの監視を開始することと、
順方向パケットデータチャンネルを介して承認信号を受信することと、
前記アクティブモードに対応して逆方向リンク送信を開始することと
を備えた方法。 - 基地局によって開始される、改善された制御−保持モードからアクティブモードへと遠隔局を移行させる方法であって、
前記遠隔局から承認信号が受信されるまで繰り返し送信される信号メッセージを、順方向共通割当チャンネルを介して前記遠隔局へ送信することと、
承認メッセージを逆方向データ制御チャンネルを介して前記遠隔局から前記基地局へと送信することと、
前記遠隔局において、順方向パケットデータチャンネルと、関連する制御チャンネルとの監視を開始することと
を備えた方法。
