Abstract

"PROTEìNAS, GENES DA CICLOPROPANO áCIDO GRAXO SINTASE DE PLANTAS E SEUS USOS". A presente invenção fornece proteínas e genes de ciclopropano ácido graxo sintase e seus métodos de uso. A presente invenção abrange ambas as formas nativas e do tipo selvagem recombinante, assim como as formas mutantes e variantes, algumas das quais possuem características relativas a sintase do tipo selvagem. A presente invenção também fornece métodos de uso de proteínas e genes de ciclopropano ácido graxo sintase, incluindo a sua expressão em organismos transgênicos e na produção de ácidos graxos ciclopropano em óleos vegetais, e em particular óleos de sementes.
