Abstract
"AGENTE DE FLOTAçãO SELETIVO E MéTODO DE FLOTAçãO". Trata-se de um novo reagente para a aplicação na preparação de matérias primas minerais, principalmente minérios mono e polimetálicos de sulfeto e óxido de metais não ferrosos, os quais são utilizados como um inibidor da corrosão do equipamento e corpos de trituração e como um coletor seletivo ou o metal requerido. O novo reagente é uma composição de sais de mercaptobenzotiazol e água e seus derivados na quantidade de 17-50% em peso, metassilicatos de sódio na quantidade de 0, 1 - 10% em peso, aminas na quantidade de 1-5% em peso, e ditiofosfatos na quantidade de 0,5-20% em peso. Além disso, trata-se de métodos para a aplicação desse novo reagente para as preparações dos concentrados de cobre, zinco e chumbo a partir de minérios de sulfeto e óxido, para a finalidade de outro processamento metalúrgico. Nesses, métodos o novo reagente é adicionado completamente, ou em parte na fase de trituração a úmido e em parte, conforme necessário, na fase de flotação, na quantidade de 20 a 300 g do reagente por tonelada de minério. A aplicação desse novo reagente elimina a necessidade do uso de cianeto e de outros agentes depressivos venenosos de metais, bem como outros coletores.
