Abstract

SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA IDENTIFICAçãO DE TRANSMISSORES COM INFORMAçõES LIMITADAS". São descritos um sistema e um método pelos quais um transreceptor de estação base (BTS) pode ser identificado de forma exclusiva. Quando se tenta determinar a localização de uma unidade móvel usando-se sinais provenientes de múltiplos BTSS, é importante que os BTSs sejam identificados de forma exclusiva e que suas posições sejam acuradamente determinadas. Em muitos casos, os sinais recebidos a partir dos BTSs propiciam informações de identificação limitadas e não podem ser usados para identificar de forma exclusiva o BTS a partir do qual foi recebido um sinal. A presente invenção utiliza as informações disponíveis para gerar uma lista de candidatos e para determinar a partir da mesma os candidatos mais prováveis para os BTSs de medição. Com base em tais informações, o sistema analisa a sobreposição de coberturas de células e o retardo de fase relativo para determinar a probabilidade de um BTS candidato ser o BTS real a partir do qual é recebido um sinal. A medida que BTSs candidatos são identificados de forma exclusiva, é possível utilizar tais informações de identificação adicionais em um processo interativo para também identificar BTSs candidatos adicionais.
