Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A REDUçãO DA TAXA DE DETERIORAçãO DE MADEIRA, ARTIGO FABRICADO, COMPOSIçãO COLOIDAL E PROCESSO PARA A PRODUçãO DE UMA COMPOSIçãO ADEQUADA PARA REDUZIR A TAXA DE DETERIORAçãO DE MADEIRA". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para a redução da taxa de deterioração de madeira, o qual inclui contatar a madeira com uma mistura aquosa compreendendo uma composição coloidal, alcalina de um sal contendo silício a qual é supersaturada com um sal contendo boro. A composição é uma composição aquosa coloidal de um sal contendo silício a qual é supersaturada com um sal contendo boro e, opcionalmente, inclui um sal de alumínio e um conservante. A composição é feita pela mistura do sal contendo boro com uma mistura aquosa coloidal de um sal contendo silício e, opcionalmente, com a adição de sal de alumínio e conservante. O processo é realizado em condições tais que resultam em uma solução supersaturada do sal contendo boro. A madeira tratada com a composição parece ser resistente a insetos, deterioração por UV, fogo e outras agressões ambientais. A madeira também parece ter uma maior resistência.
