Abstract

"MULTIPLEXAçãO POR DIVISãO NO TEMPO ATRAVéS DE MéTODO E EQUIPAMENTO DE MODULAçãO EM BANDA LARGA". Um roteador de comutação de pacotes processa informações digitais de downstream para prover largura de banda dedicada a cada destino de assinante em uma rede híbrida fibra coaxial (HFC). O roteador inclui um módulo de rede que termina uma conexão de rede, um switch que envia dados a partir do módulo de rede, e um módulo de canal. O módulo de canal inclui uma interface de switch, uma máquina de processamento de células, um ou mias moduladores e uma rede transmissora de radiofreq³ência (RF) . A interface de switch envia dados empacotados do switch para a máquina de processamento de células. A máquina de processamento de células organiza os dados empacotados em vários fluxos de dados, encapsula dados em cada fluxo de dados nas células de dados, e multiplexa as células de dados em um fluxo de célula multiplexado.
