Abstract
CHAPA DE CéLULA DE COMBUSTìVEL COM FILETES DE VEDAçãO DE ESPESSURA VARIáVEL". Um aparelho de célula de combustível inclui pelo menos duas chapas voltadas uma para a outra paralelas, empilhadas juntas, mas separadas por filetes de vedação resilientes dispostos em pelo menos uma das chapas. Os filetes de vedação resilientes são adaptados para facilitar o controle de fluxos de fluido, tal como eletrólitos, entre as chapas e são, assim, denominados filetes de vedação de fluído. Cada chapa contém pelo menos uma abertura de parafuso para fixação das duas chapas juntas na disposição voltada uma para a outra embora afastadas entre si descrita. Filetes separados dispostos em torno da(s) abertura(s) agem como filetes de compensação de carga na abertura. Em uma modalidade preferida, os filetes de vedação de fluido têm uma espessura uniforme, enquanto os filetes de compensação de abertura têm outra espessura menor do que aquela dos filetes de vedação de fluido. Na mesma modalidade, os filetes de compensação de abertura são mais largos, entretanto, do que os filetes de vedação de fluido. Em outra modalidade, as espessuras dos filetes de vedação de fluido podem ser variadas em função da proximidade entre qualquer porção do filete de fluido e as aberturas de furo de parafuso, com a espessura dos filetes de abertura sendo menor para acomodar as cargas de tensão normalmente mais altas antecipadas nas conexões aparafusadas. Dessa forma, a invenção resulta em uma distribuição de tensão de carga aperfeiçoada sobre as chapas coincidentes, já que a carga dos parafusos é assim espalhada de modo mais uniforme sobre as áreas de chapa.
