Abstract
"MéTODO PARA REGENERAçãO DE SULFATO DE CáLCIO". O sulfato de cálcio é regenerado a cal em uma temperatura relativamente baixa e em um tempo curto. Em um método de regeneração do cal através de redução do sulfato de cálcio ao escoar um gás redutor que contém 0,5 a 20% por volume de CO e 0,03 a 30% por volume de CO~ 2~, a redução é executada na presença de um auxiliar selecionado do grupo que consiste de Fe~ 2~O~ 3~, MgSO~ 4~ e misturas dos mesmos em uma temperatura de 900 a 1000<198>C. Nos casos em que o auxiliar é Fe~ 2~O~ 3~, a quantidade do mesmo é 0,2 a 10% por peso baseado no peso do sulfato de cálcio em termos de sulfato de cálcio anidro. Nos casos em que o auxiliar é MgSO~ 4~, a quantidade do mesmo é preferivelmente 10 a 50% por peso baseado no peso do sulfato de cálcio em termos de sulfato de cálcio anidro.
