Abstract

"CARTUCHO DE SUPRIMENTO PARA UM APARELHO DE IMPRESSãO". Em equipamento de escritório tais como impressoras e copiadoras, uma máquina única "plataforma" é disponível como um número de variantes distintas (copiadora, impressora, fac-símile, impressora MICR). Diferentes variantes podem requerer tipos diferentes de cartuchos de material de marcação, ou outras unidades substituíveis. Para impedir a instalação de um cartucho inadequado em uma máquina, cada cartucho define uma configuração distinta de estruturas de engatamento convexas ou cóncavas, arranjadas em um círculo, porém com as quais, não mais do que metade da circunferência do círculo é ocupada pelas estruturas de engatamento. As estruturas de engatamento engatam com estruturas complementares dentro de uma máquina adequada, e podem auxiliar a acionar uma rotação do cartucho dentro da máquina.
