Anel de segmento para o emprego em um cilindro de um motor de combustão que é endurecido com nitreto pelo menos sobre a superfície de deslizamento entre anel de segmento e parede do cilindro, sendo que a camada de nitreto se constitui de uma camada de separação e de uma camada de ligação e o anel de segmento se constitui de um material à base de ferro de baixa liga e de que sobre a camada de ligação é aplicada uma camada de óxido.
