Abstract

"MéTODO E EQUIPAMENTO PARA A GERAçãO DE SEQüêNCIAS PN EM FASES ARBITRáRIAS". Técnicas para a geração de uma seqüência de números pseudo-aleatórios (PN) em uma fase desejada utilizando 'mascaramento' para ajustar a fase da seqüência PN em incrementos grosseiros (por exemplo, incrementos de 64 chips PN) para responder por um ajuste de fase grande. O retorno pode então ser utilizado para ajustar a fase PN em incrementos finos (por exemplo, incrementos de 1/8 chips PN) para obter a fase desejada. Antes de cada varredura pelo piloto de uma estação base específica, uma máscara PN correspondendo a uma fase mais próxima do começo de uma nova janela de busca é aplicada a um gerador de PN para obter uma fase inicial para a seqüência PN. A partir da fase inicial obtida pela máscara aplicada, o gerador PN é então retornado para o começo da janela de busca. O mascaramento pode ser utilizado para obter um grande ajuste de fase em menos tempo, o que deve melhorar o desempenho da busca.
