Abstract

"PEPTìDEO, POLIPEPTìDEO, COMPOSIçãO, USO DE UM PEPTìDEO OU UM POLIPEPTìDEO, E, ANTICORPO". A presente invenção apresenta polipeptídeos para uso em vacinas contra a coqueluche e a paracoqueluche. Os polipeptídeos da invenção são derivados da pertactina de Bordetella pertussis. Preferivelmente, os polipeptídeos da invenção compreendem seq³ências da região 1 de pertactina, em particular eles compreendem uma ou mais repetições "GGFGP" ou "GGAVP". Alternativamente, os polipeptídeos da invenção têm uma seq³ência de pertactina, da qual parte, ou toda, da região 1, ou da região 2, é deletada. Os polipeptídeos da invenção são incorporados em composições que são úteis como vacinas para seres humanos e fins veterinários. A invenção ainda apresenta anticorpos contra os polipeptídeos da invenção derivados de pertactina.
