Abstract

"COMPOSIçõES DE POLIéSTER MELHORADAS PARA EXTRUSãO EM MULTICAMADAS E DESEMPENHO DE BARREIRA". Divulgam-se objetos moldados por sopro co-extrudados em multicamadas melhorados (tal como reservatórios para combustível) tendo pelo menos uma camada barreira e uma camada suporte, juntamente com métodos melhorados para preparar tais objetos. A camada barreira inclui uma quantidade de poliolefina modificada tendo aproximadamente a mesma densidade que a da camada suporte, sendo que a poliolefina modificada é preparada enxertando um ácido carboxílico ou um derivado do mesmo na poliolefina, a poliolefina modificada sendo adicionada numa quantidade tal que a camada barreira de gás adira suficientemente à camada adjacente e tal que as propriedades de barreira de gás do artigo manufaturado sejam ainda adequadas. A invenção presente refere-se também à modificação da reologia de resinas base, tal como PET (um material preferido para a camada barreira), tal que eles s adaptem mais estreitamente com a reologia do polietileno de alta densidade (um material preferido para a camada suporte).
