A invenção refere-se a processos e dispositivos para a formação de marcas e cheios aplicando um feixe de radiação (32) a uma superfície de gravação (301) de um portador de gravação optica (30). Estratégias de gravação são propostas para gravar informações à altas velocidades de gravação. Um nível de potência intermediário (P~ 1~, P~ 2~) é introduzido entre o nível de potência inferior (P~ 0~) e o nível de potência de escrita (P~ w~), seu valor sendo subordinado à extensão do cheio precedente (151, 152, 153). Um nível de potência de escrita aumentado (P~ R1~, P~ R2~) e também proposto, seu valor sendo subordinado à extensão da marca a ser gravada (241, 242, 243).
