Abstract

"SISTEMAS DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIO QUE UTILIZAM MúLTIPLAS ANTENAS NO TRANSMISSOR E MúLTTPLAS ANTENAS NO RECEPTOR". São desenvolvidos sinais para utilização em um sistema sem fio com múltiplas antenas de transmissão e múltiplas antenas de recepção de modo que mesmo em face de alguma correlação a capacidade mais laço aberta que pode ser atingida utilizando um sistema substancialmente de laço aberto com um canal daquele nivel de correlação é obtido. De acordo com os princípios da invenção, os sinais transmitidos das várias antenas são processados de modo a melhorar sua capacidade de portar a quantidade máxima de informação. Mais especificamente, os dados a serem transmitidos são divididos em M+1 subfluxos, em que M é o número de antenas de transmissão. Cada antena de transmissão é fornecida com um sinal de combinação que é composto de uma versão ponderada de um dos subfluxos comuns e uma versão ponderada de um dos respectivos subfluxos que é singularmente fornecido para aquela antena, de modo que há M sinais de transmissão. Um receptor tendo N antenas recebe os M sinais de transmissão como combinados pelo canal e reconstitui deles os dados originais. Isto pode ser atingido utilizando técnicas de descodificação sucessivas. Como vantagem, a capacidade, isto é, a velocidade de informação que pode ser passada com uma probabilidade arbitrariamente pequena de erro quando a condição de canal de emissão instantâneo é desconhecida do transmissor, é maximizada.
