Abstract

"PRODUTOS COMPREENDENDO óLEO DE MILHO E FARINHA DE MILHO OBTIDOS A PARTIR DE UM MILHO DE ALTO TEOR DE óLEO". AND CORN FLOUR OBTAINED FROM A HIGH OIL CONTENT". Corn oil and cornmeal are obtained from high oil corn and are included in useful products. Corn oil is extracted from high oil corn to form cornmeal. Corn oil generally comprises levels of nutrients not found in commercially available corn oils, since most or all of the corn grain, rather than just the germ, is exposed to the extraction process. Corn grain usually includes the flaking steps, having a total oil content of at least about 8%, with the extraction of corn oil from the flaked corn grain. Corn oil is useful for making improved edible or cooking oils, lubricants, biodiesel, fuels, cosmetics, and oil-containing or oil-based chemicals. The extracted cornmeal is useful in the manufacture of improved animal feeds, quick snacks, mixed food products, cosmetics and fermentation broth additives.
