Abstract
"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA DERIVAR PELO MENOS UM SINAL DE áUDIO A PARTIR DE DOIS OU MAIS SINAIS DE áUDIO DE ENTRADA". Um decodificador de áudio multidirecional utilizando uma matriz de áudio "adaptável" deriva pelo menos um de uma pluralidade de sinais de áudio de saída a partir de dois ou mais fluxos de sinais de entrada de áudio direcionalmente codificados (S1 (<244>), S2(<244>), ..., SN(<244>)), onde <244> é o ângulo codificado de um sinal de áudio fonte. Cada sinal de saída é associado com uma direção principal <225>. De modo a gerar cada sinal de saída, um par de sinais intermediários (sinais "antidominantes") é gerado, constituindo o sinal antidominante para cada uma das duas direções de saída principal do decodificador. O sinal antidominante para qualquer direção principal (ou "dominante") arbitrária é a combinação dos sinais de entrada possuindo coeficientes de modo que a combinação vai para zero para esta direção dominante. O controle de amplitude é aplicado junto aos dois sinais antidominantes para entregar um par de sinais possuindo magnitudes substancialmente iguais que são aditivamente ou subtrativamente combinados para proporcionar o sinal de áudio de saída associado com uma direção principal.
