"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA INSTALAR UM SOQUETE EM UM PLUG SUBMERSO EM áGUA". O presente resumo refere-se a uma patente de invenção relativa a conectores elétricos, compreendendo um soquete (830) junto com um soquete de contato (831) que é instalado num plug (840) com um plug de contato (841) de maneira que este estabeleça contato condutivo entre o soquete de contato e o plug de contato; um dispositivo de troca de fluído recuperável é colocado na parte inferior da tomada e este conector ao soquete;o dispositivo de troca de fluído é operado para remover essencialmente água do mar (930) de dentro do soquete e carregá-lo com um gás (920) do dispositivo para fazer com que o soquete seja selado sob pressão contra a água do mar ao redor do soquete; o dispositivo de troca de fluído fornece um fluído de sufasão (970) para dentro do plug instalado; o fluído é essencialmente eliminado do soquete e é substituído pelo gás; o dispositivo é desconectado do soquete e recuperado e o dispositivo que troca o fluído pode então ser usado em um outro plug instalado em outro soquete.
