Patente de Invenção: "VETORES PARA APERFEIçOAR A CLONAGEM E A EXPRESSãO EM PLASMìDIOS COM BAIXO NúMERO DE CóPIAS". Métodos que facilitam 1) a clonagem de insertos grandes em plasmídios de BAC, 2) o isolamento de grandes quantidades de DNA de BAC (por aumento do número de cópias dos plasmídios), e 3) o aumento da expressão heteróloga a partir de insertos de plasmídios de BAC (por aumento do número de cópias dos plasmídios e/ou introdução de promotores no inserto). é proporcionado um vetor para aumentar o número de cópias dos plasmídios, compreendendo um elemento transponível contendo um ponto de origem da replicação com número de cópias moderado ou alto, capaz de transposição in vitro para um plasmídio-alvo.
