Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "TORNEAMENTO DURO". Um processo de usinagem de metal, em particular torneamento duro usando um torno de precisão controlado por computador, compreende a etapa de controlar a ferramenta para aumentar a profundidade de corte em intervalos durante a usinagem, de modo a criar uma pluralidade de depressões (12 a 16). Quando aplicado a um cone de engate sincronizado (10), por exemplo, as depressões podem tipicamente ser anular e 1 mícron em profundidade, com uma largura base de 0,16 mm e espaçado em 1,0 mm ao longo do afunilamento. O processo permite que os componentes sejam produzidos cuja superfície é similar àquela de componentes esmerilhados.
