Abstract

"PROCESSO DE PREPARAçãO DE UMA EMBALAGEM TUBULAR DE POLIéSTER DECORADA PARA O ACONDICONAMENTO DE UMA COMPOSIçãO AQUOSA". Tubos de poliéster moldados por sopro estirados por injeção têm sido desenvolvidos para uso na embalagem de produtos contendo água. Resinas de poliéster possuem boas propriedades de barreira contra materiais orgânicos mas propriedades de barreira contra umidade insatisfatórias. Tem sido verificado que as propriedades de barreira contra umidade podem ser aumentadas pelo revestimento da superfície externa do tubo com um primeiro material que adere na superfície de poliéster do tubo e em uma sobrecamada de uma barreira contra umidade compreendendo poli(cloreto de vinilideno). Entretanto, visto que a sobrecamada de poli(cloreto de vinilideno) pode desenvolver uma tonalidade amarela, a sobrecamada em uma modalidade é revestida com uma camada decorativa opaca para prevenir ou mascarar o amarelamento gradual da sobrecamada de poli(cloreto de vinilideno). Em outra modalidade na qual o tubo é para ser substancialmente transparente, o produto dentro do tubo terá uma cor que substancialmente cancelará a tonalidade amarela que é desenvolvida pela sobrecamada de poli(cloreto de vinilideno). A transmissão de umidade da parede do tubo em qualquer uma das modalidades é reduzida para menor do que cerca de 1 grama/m^ 2^/dia. Em uma modalidade preferida ambos a parede do tubo e o ombro superior do tubo possuem esta estrutura de revestimento para diminuir a perda de umidade do produto contido através do ombro e da parede lateral do tubo.
