Abstract

"MéTODO PARA ESTABELECER UMA CONEXãO PARA COMUNICAR UMA INFORMAçãO RELACIONADA A MULTIMìDIA ENTRE O TERMINAL E A REDE, E, TERMINAL E REDE PARA TROCAR A INFORMAçãO RELACIONADA A MULTIMìDIA ATRAVéS DE UMA REDE DE TRANSMISSãO DE DADOS COMUTADA POR PACOTE". O método é fornecido para transmitir a informação relacionada a multimídia entre o primeiro dispositivo e o segundo dispositivo acoplado à rede de transmissão de dados comutada por pacote. A primeira pilha de protocolos (201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, 207) é definida para o primeiro dispositivo e a segunda pilha de protocolos (251, 252, 253, 254, 255, 256) é definida para o segundo dispositivo. A pilha de protocolos consiste de camadas e serve para organização da troca mútua da informação entre o primeiro dispositivo e o segundo dispositivo. A camada do Protocolo Internet (206, 255) é definida para a transmissão dos dados empacotados como uma camada determinada na primeira pilha de protocolos e uma camada determinada na segunda pilha de protocolos. A camada do protocolo (207, 256) de transporte de mensagem de multimídia é também definida como uma camada determinada acima da camada do Protocolo Internet (206, 255) na primeira e na segunda pilhas de protocolos. A informação relacionada à multimídia é trocada entre a camada do protocolo (207) de transporte de mensagem de multimídia no primeiro dispositivo e a camada de protocolo (256) de transporte de mensagem de multimídia no segundo dispositivo através do uso da camada do Protocolo Internet (206, 255) como também das outras camadas inferiores na primeira e na segunda pilhas de protocolos.
