Abstract

"MéTODO PARA PREPARAR UMA AMOSTRA DE SORO DE SANGUE, E MéTODO PARA DETERMINAR A PRESENçA DE PrP^ Sc^ NO SANGUE". é preparada uma amostra a partir de sangue de uma maneira que torna possível a análise adicional de proteínas na amostra, por exemplo, para detectar priónios na amostra. O sangue é extraído, deixado para coagular e submetida a um processo de separação (por exemplo, centrifugação) para obter soro. O soro é tratado com um agente de formação de complexo que se liga a priónios na amostra formando um complexo agente/proteína que torna possível concentrar o complexo. A concentração do complexo resulta em uma amostra que pode ser analisada de forma bem-sucedida, por exemplo, analisada usando-se uma escala de diferentes tipos de metodologias de ensaios para detectar priónios.
