Abstract
"MEIO FILTRANTE, E, MéTODO DE FILTRAçãO DE CONTAMINANTES DE UM GáS". Um meio filtrante inclui pelo menos dois tipos de partículas de meios filtrantes. Uma primeira pluralidade de partículas de meios filtrantes inclui um substrato de área superficial estendida compreendendo pelo menos um impregnante de metal de transição. Uma segunda pluralidade de partículas de meios filtrantes inclui um substrato de área superficial estendida compreendendo um impregnante de amina terciária. Nas modalidades preferidas, pelo menos um dos e preferivelmente ambos os tipos de partículas de meios filtrantes é/estão substancialmente livre(s) de cromo, e mais preferivelmente não contém(êm) cromo detectável. O meio filtrante possui capacidades de filtração muito amplas. O meio filtrante bem sucedidamente alcança níveis de desempenho determinados tanto pelas especificações de aprovação de filtro industrial aplicável quanto pelas especificações de desempenho de filtro militar internacional.
