Abstract
<B>ESTAçãO DE BASE PARA USO EM UM SITEMA DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIO E MéTODO PARA IMPLEMENTAR A MESMA<D> Uma estação de base do sistema de comunicação sem fio inclui um número de painéis de unidade de canal, cada qual incluindo múltiplos elementos de canal para prover operações de processamento para sinais atribuídos a múltiplas portadoras no sistema. Um dado painel de unidade de canal inclui um multiplexor o qual é operante para implementar um agrupamento de canal de multi-portadora/ multi-setor pela atribuição de um dado elemento dos elementos de canal daquele painel para qualquer uma das múltiplas portadoras do sistema. Por exemplo, um multiplexor no dado painel de canal pode ser operante para conectar os elementos de canal daquele painel a barramentos de sinal I/Q associados às diferentes portadoras do sistema. O barramento do sinal I/Q para cada uma das portadoras é então combinado em dado painel com sinais correspondentes de outros painéis. A invenção permite que cada um dos N elementos de canal de dado painel de unidade de canal a ser atribuído a até N portadoras específicas do sistema, provendo, por esse meio aumento substancial de flexibilidade em termos de configuração do sistema.
