Abstract

"APARELHO PARA AJUSTAR DINAMICAMENTE O TAMANHODE UM ORIFìCIO PARA AUMENTAR A PRECISãO NA MEDIçãODA TAXA DE FLUXO DE AR". Adaptador dinâmico de fluxo, paraser usado na medição da taxa na qual o ar flui para dentro do tubode freio de uma locomotiva. O adaptador de fluxo inclui umalojamento, uma válvula dinâmica de fluxo e um transdutordiferencial. O alojamento define uma passagem de entrada, umacâmara de entrada, uma passagem primária, uma passagemsuplementar, uma câmara de saída, uma passagem secundária, euma passagem de saída. A passagem primária contém um orifícioprimário tendo um primeiro diâmetro. A passagem secundáriacontém um orifício secundário tendo um segundo diâmetro. Apassagem de entrada comunica-se com câmara de entrada, e ascâmaras de entrada e de saída comunicam-se através do orifícioprimário. A câmara de saída comunica-se com a passagem desaída através do orifício secundário. A passagem suplementar estáem paralelo com a passagem primária e quando aberta permitecomunicação adicional entra as câmaras de entrada e de saída. Aválvula dinâmica de fluxo está disposta dentro da passagemsuplementar. Quando a taxa na qual o ar flui a partir da passagemde entrada, para dentro da câmara de entrada, é menor ou igual aum valor predeterminado, a válvula dinâmica de fluxo fecha apassagem suplementar. Quando a taxa de fluxo para dentro dacâmara de entrada for maior que o valor predeterminado, a válvuladinâmica de fluxo abre a passagem suplementar até um pontodeterminado, até uma posição totalmente aberta, pela magnitudeda taxa de fluxo. Isso permite que o ar flua através da passagemsuplementar, em adição àquele fluindo através da passagemprimária. O transdutor gera um sinal proporcional à diferença empressão entre as câmaras de entrada e de saída.
